NCC (National Cadet Corps)

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) at St. Paul Institute of Professional Studies is proudly associated with the 9 MP Battalion NCC, Indore, one of the most active and prestigious battalions in the region.

The battalion functions under the leadership of Commanding Officer Col. M. K. Tiwari, whose guidance and motivation inspire cadets to excel.

Objectives

  • To develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship, and ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country.
  • To create a human resource of organized, trained, and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life.
  • To be always available for the service of the nation.
  • To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces.

Training & Activities

  • Drill and Parade Sessions: Regular sessions help cadets develop discipline, coordination, and confidence. Students learn precision and teamwork through marching practice, saluting, and command training.
  • Weapon Training: Introduces cadets to the safe handling, assembly, and basic functioning of rifles under expert supervision. This builds responsibility and prepares students for higher-level camps.
  • Physical Fitness Training: Focuses on building stamina, strength, and overall endurance through running, PT exercises, and flexibility drills.
  • Republic Day and Independence Day Parade: Cadets actively participate in parades at the college and city level, showcasing patriotism and synchronization.
  • PI Staff Teaching Sessions: Permanent Instructor Staff conduct specialized training to enhance military knowledge, etiquette, and drill perfection.
  • Social Service and Awareness Campaigns: Cadets participate in cleanliness drives, plantation programs, blood donation camps, and statue cleaning. They also conduct rallies for social awareness, such as Anti-Tobacco, road safety, and health initiatives.
  • Adventure Activities: The unit organizes trekking, hiking, and adventure camps to develop courage and resilience. Organized trips include Panchmarhi, Goa, and trekking at Ralamandal.
